Seco celebrate first CQC inspection

Seco Support are thrilled to have received such a fantastic result in the first ever inspection.

Seco Support were visited by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June of this year, and were awarded an overall rating of GOOD. The support team, located in Newcastle, were assessed under the guidance based on “right support, right care, right culture.”

The team were praised for their use of Positive Behaviour Support which ensured that they kept the person safe, in the least restrictive way. It was also noted that the person had begun to experience much better health and wellbeing.

The CQC also highlighted how the staff were not only appropriately skilled, but upheld the person’s dignity.

The team were commended for their understanding of the person’s needs. They demonstrated respect and interest in the person. The team were praised for developing a good understanding of when they were having a good or bad day, and how best to support them in those situations.

Head of Quality and Compliance Vicky Rogers commented,

“We are all incredibly proud to have received a good rating from our first ever CQC inspection.

The organisation as a whole have worked incredibly hard to ensure our services are not only right for people, but meet the regulated criteria.

Our team in the Northeast are amazing and have made a real difference to the persons life. It was great for us to be able to share so many celebrations with the inspector.”

A huge well done to all involved!
