We are recruiting a Service Manager for David who will be moving to his own home in Devizes in early Summer.

  • Salary – £14.00 per hour

About David

David is moving to his new home in Devizes in early summer and wants to be supported by a team of young and physically fit support staff who share his love of exercise and the outdoors. Due to a previous accident, David needs his team to be able to support him to care for his scars, so all support workers will need to be trained in wound management. David’s family are really important to him and his team need to be able to support him to see his family regularly. David has Autistic spectrum Condition and Learning Disabilities and needs his support team to support him to live a safe and active life in his local community.

David has a great sense of humour and builds trusting relationships with people he cares about. David enjoys keeping his home and community clean and tidy and enjoys the company of positive people who share his passion for cleanliness and respects his unique skills and abilities.

About the role

We are looking for a Service Manager to:

  • Visit David and his team at his home on a regular basis
  • Manage Davids team’s training, annual leave and rotas
  • Manage the finances within Davids service. This includes Seco Support finances as well.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that HR systems and records are completed for all team members and up to date
  • Complete formal supervisions, probations and appraisals in line with Seco timescales
  • Be responsible for updating risk assessments and support plans
  • Ensure Davids service is compliant with CQC standards
  • Lead reviews and ensure updates are made to Davids’s support and PBS plan
  • Meet regularly with David’s family and professional team
  • Interview and support new team members
  • Be part of a local on call service
  • Provide direct support to David on a regular basis and when the need for cover arises.

An NVQ or equivalent and experience in managing supported living services is essential, along with great time management, motivation forward thinking.

Full training will be provided through Seco Supports induction programme and online learning.

Full referencing and a full enhanced check of the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) will be required for this position.
