We are recruiting a Service Manager for Aimee who lives in her own home in Devises.

  • Salary – £14.00 per hour

About Aimee

Aimee lives in her own home supported by a team of support workers who need to be able support Aimee her with her medical needs resulting from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. EDS is a rare genetic disorder which means that Amiee uses a wheelchair for mobility and has medical needs including a super pubic catheter. Aimee also has Autism and wants a team around her to understand what her Autism means for her and support her to respect and live the live she chooses.

Aimee has a great sense of humour and is assertive and confident about what she wants from her team. Aimee is a skilled craftswoman and makes all sorts of cards and gifts suing card, fabric and wool. Amiee lives with Poppy, the coolest cat, so her team must love cats if they want to be part of Aimee’s team. Amiee is passionate about the rights of people living with a disability and campaigns for equality of rights for issues such as accessing the community for wheelchair uses. Aimee likes to play computer games on all platforms.

About the role

We are looking for a Service Manager to:

  • Visit Aimee and her team at his home on a regular basis
  • Manage Aimee’s team’s training, annual leave and rotas
  • Manage the finances within Aimee’s service. This includes Seco Support finances as well as Aimee’s if she needs it.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that HR systems and records are completed for all team members and up to date
  • Complete formal supervisions, probations and appraisals in line with Seco timescales
  • Be responsible for updating risk assessments and support plans
  • Ensure Aimee’s service is compliant with CQC standards
  • Lead reviews and ensure updates are made to Aimee’s support and PBS plan
  • Meet regularly with Aimee’s familiy and professional team
  • Interview and support new team members
  • Be part of a local on call service
  • Provide direct support to Aimee on a regular basis and when the need for cover arises.

An NVQ or equivalent and experience in managing supported living services is essential, along with great time management, motivation forward thinking.

Full training will be provided through Seco Supports induction programme and online learning.

Full referencing and a full enhanced check of the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) will be required for this position.
